Terms of Service

Last updated April 2026

SummaryBy signing up or buying a licence you agree to these terms. In short: we provide HoverStash as-is for your personal/business use on the devices your licence covers; we can suspend abusive accounts; UK law applies and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

1. Acceptance

These terms (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you”) and [[Operator Legal Name]] (“HoverStash”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales at [[Registered Address]]. By installing HoverStash, activating a licence, or using the websites at hoverstash.tech / app.hoverstash.tech / admin.hoverstash.tech, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use our services.

2. Accounts + licences

  • The HoverStash desktop application is licensed, not sold. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the application on the number of devices covered by your licence, subject to these Terms.
  • Each licence is tied to one active device at a time. You may deactivate and reactivate on a different device freely; sharing a licence key with another person is a breach of these Terms and we may revoke licences used that way.
  • You are responsible for keeping your licence key + magic-link emails private. Notify us at support@hoverstash.tech immediately if you believe your key has been exposed.

3. Pricing + payment

  • Prices on the pricing page are in GBP including UK VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store card details.
  • The one-time purchase includes 12 months of free updates from the date of purchase. After that, an optional renewal (at the price listed at the time of renewal) grants 12 more months of updates. Your existing version continues to work regardless.
  • We may change prices at any time; changes only affect future purchases + renewals.

4. Cancellation + refunds

As the product is a digital download, under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from purchase to cancel and receive a refund, provided you have not substantially started to use the product after the purchase with express consent waiving that right. Our standard position is that you retain the 14-day right. See the Refund Policy for the full procedure.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent licensing checks;
  • Use HoverStash to process files you do not have the right to process, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property;
  • Share your licence key with other people, or use it across more devices than the policy allows;
  • Interfere with our servers (denial-of-service attempts, unauthorised access, brute-force attempts on the login or admin endpoints).

6. Our obligations

We will provide HoverStash with reasonable skill and care, in line with industry practice. We do not guarantee the service is uninterrupted or error-free; however, your installed copy runs locally and continues to work for up to 7 days without reaching our servers for licence revalidation.

7. Intellectual property

All rights in HoverStash, including its code, design, and brand, belong to us or our licensors. You are granted only the rights expressly set out in these Terms.

8. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud, or (c) any other liability which cannot be limited under UK law.

Subject to that, our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for (a) loss of data (please keep backups), (b) loss of profits or business, or (c) any indirect or consequential losses.

9. Suspension + termination

We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms (e.g. sharing the key, reverse-engineering, abuse). In ordinary circumstances we'll give you notice first.

If we cease offering the service, we'll give active licence holders at least 60 days' notice and publish instructions so your installed copy continues to function.

10. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law. If any provision of these Terms is unfair or unenforceable under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or related legislation, only that provision is unenforceable; the rest remain in force.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve disputes, though if you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales you may also bring proceedings in your local courts as permitted by law.
